Description
The Tree of the Teachers is the most beautiful, longest-lived tree in the world, and perhaps the one that displays the most cultural-historical traditions: a Lebanese cedar. It comes from a biblical land, from which the Scriptures, as a kind of time-traveler ambassador, are reminiscent of ancient Rome, the founder of Savaria, Tivadar Csontvárí Kosztka, and his own physical tree that actually reaches the Hungarian mythological sky. (...) From the beginning of the nineties, I wanted to make a worthy, indestructible memory for the Teachers of all over Hungary. "The purpose of erecting the memorial tree is to pay homage to the nation-building work of kindergarten teachers, teachers, teachers and professors who pass on knowledge and national traditions, and who receive only oral material and moral esteem in a dignified community space." On September 24, 2014, St. Gellert, the patron saint of education, dr. Mayor Tivadar Puskás and Bishop András Veres inaugurated the Teachers' Tree in the sacred square of Szombathely, opposite the cathedral. (...) In the spring of 2015, new shoots indicated: the tree was hardened and alive.
