Birds and Trees Day in Hungary

Otto Herman, an outstanding polyhistor and scuba diver, in 1906 asked the public to legislate Birds and Trees Day and to pay more attention to this topic in education. He cited the United States as an example, where Birds and Trees Day had been enacted and held years earlier. Thus, it is thanks to the activity of Otto Herman that more than 100 years later, that is, today we celebrate and celebrate the Day of Birds and Trees on May 10th.
