Description
On 1 January 2018, Act XXVIII of 2017 on Private International Law entered into force. law. The present volume aims to help the practical application of the Code-type law with classical, commentary-like, ie paragraph-by-paragraph explanations. The aim of the commentary is to provide guidance to practitioners: judges, notaries, lawyers, government officials, consuls in international private law matters, with longer or shorter glosses written in a practical approach, based on a sufficient theoretical foundation. The explanations are related to the provisions of the law, but at the beginning of each chapter they also summarize the sources of European Union law and international treaties belonging to the given legal institutions. In each case, it is clarified in which cases, given the material, personal and temporal scope of the priority sources of EU and conventional law, the rules of the law apply. The authors of the commentary are former members of the Committee on Codification of Private International Law, who are recognized experts on conceptual, theoretical, and practical issues of regulation.
