The ferry on the Mekong River to Saigon grabs the attention of a young man with a peculiar appearance: in a heavily washed silk dress and a man’s hat - leaning against the railing and looking into the distance dreamily. The man is 32 years old and the girl is 15. They meet. Passionate, ecstatic love flares up between them. When the rich man has to get married under family pressure, the girl travels home to France.
