Arkhai

ARKHAI in Greek means as much as beginnings. It became more widely understood in Alexandria Greek, and the word was usually translated Hebrew sephira. Later, under the influence of the prehistoric Orphic language of mystery, the meaning became permanent. This meaning was transferred to medieval Latin, later to the language of humanists and philosophers as the equivalent of the Greek word: the Latin pricipium. Its meaning is that it is the beginning, the base, the base, the primordial language, the primordial image, the primordial form, all that is source: a common designation of hierarchies, or sephiras, but one of the hierarchies as specific as the lords of the beginnings.
