Description
Artmagazin's articles are published in the field of contemporary and classical art, focusing on Hungarian and international events, research, trends and trends. Our interest extends to border areas: fashion and design are as much a topic here as the connection points between theater, architecture and music. ARTMAGAZINE 120. The basic question of our first issue this year is what can happen to certain oeuvres, how their perceptions change over time. The most problematic variety of this is when the audience of a given era is so confident in their value judgment that it even destroys works. In our case, some of Mattis Teutsch's late paintings, considered socreal, have fallen victim to this - our article revolves around how much these were according to the artist's own intentions. A little detour: all our bus visits to the city are about to change the perception, so we visited the Egyptian modernizing doctor's office in Dunaújváros or the most recent space-age buildings of Salgótarján in the seventies and we will see Paks, the city center, the tulip house on March 7. church (and of course the Révész-Roskó exhibition in the Gallery!), because these are just now becoming a monument to be preserved, a tourist destination to visit. Dora Maaré, a surrealist photographer who has just broken out of the role of Picasso's hysterical lover, is a good example of his time-varying oeuvre, but it is also an instructive story Konstantin Melnikov, a non-commissioned representative. There is also the case when an artistic achievement can by no means achieve the place it deserves, according to the happy (?) Few: we are writing about this in connection with the István Farkas exhibition in the National Gallery, which can be visited until March. Positive examples, however, include one of the most influential figures in the history of design, whose chairs are being remanufactured to this day: Charles Rennie Mackintosh of Scotland, or John Baldessari, a concept artist here. he was already at the peak before his recent death. And once they are at their peak: the judgment will turn into money in the art market; we provide a summary of what happened last year. We try to repay the debts of Hungarian art history writing: We try to present the almost unknown oeuvres of women who are friends in Paris and paint each other, including one that is already well known all over the world, the semi-Hungarian Amrita Sher-Gyle. Whose uncle is we are also writing about: the Indian researcher Ervin Baktay in connection with a cartoon about him. Finally, Klára Rotschild is mentioned - as a microhistorical greatness.
