Description
Artmagazin's articles are published in the field of contemporary and classical art, focusing on Hungarian and international events, research, trends and trends. Our interest extends to border areas: fashion and design are as much a topic here as the connection points between theater, architecture and music. Artmagazin No. 97 Our summer special issue is green inside and out for the long-awaited outdoor programs! On our cover is a vibrant female figure who raises her virgonc child with one hand and stimulates the growth of a freshly planted seedling with the other. (The jug is not so accentuated by chance either, but more on that later.) In terms of the contemporary transcription of one of the frescoes in the National Museum, the allegory of faith in the future is also the essence of our issue. Different combinations of children, gardens and art appear in our articles whether we look to the past or the future. We are more optimistic than anxious about contemporary Dutch garden projects, because we see that young people combine the forces of science and art to find surprisingly creative solutions to sometimes ecological problems, and from other gardens to create a compassionate, inclusive community space to restore physical -our spiritual balance. Documenta's 14 green / eco installations in Kassel outline a darker scenario, as do the life stories of Alba, a pale green fluorescent rabbit born in a genetic engineering laboratory as an art project. Our topic related to our cover is the reconstruction of the Museum Garden due this year, in connection with which we not only look ahead, but also recall the eventful past of the garden. A revolutionary national assembly, an air pool, Soviet tanks of 56, dotted balls lurking in the woods for decades shade the history of the park planted from national public donations (the jug will be revealed here!). In this "sacred grove" of science and art, children have always felt at home, and the contemporaries of the boys on Paul Street have called their empire Musi, and even Muzicska. If all goes according to plan, next spring the English park, which preserves the much-seen wooden giants in an exemplary way and is faithful to the original 19th century plans, will open its doors with a café, playground, many benches and of course full Wi-Fi coverage. . In the meantime, make up for an imaginary walk in Josephine Bonaparte’s once world-famous rose garden and greenhouse. The horrible price of the Empress’s commitment to botany (and shopping) was, of course, borne by her husband, Napoleon. In connection with the history of the Malmaison Garden, there are life-threatening expeditions to find exotic plants (we also offer an incredibly exciting book about Alexander Humboldt), dahlia hysteria, and how the Cantonese yellow rose blew up the market in 1809. The exotic plants that have arrived in Europe have since been so assimilated that many of them are native to the acacia, which has been brutally eradicated from some parts of North America. Not only fans of acacia honey, we recommend the Hungarian acacia performance at Trafó, which offers an interesting approach to the political use and utilization of plants, in which the Acacia tree itself asks. After our gardening overview, we’ll see what kids start with art, especially after getting out of school in the summer, when we’re better off entertaining them and, of course, educating them (about art). The permanent authors of our paper, mothers (and a father) who were also involved in their occupation, tested their own children in a museum setting, sharing with us the honest and sometimes relentless judgment of the test subjects. What the new generation loves, what they have and what they hate in a museum cannot matter to Hungarian art institutions either, as their future depends on the current return of children as adults. But anyone who just wants a summer program offer isn’t disappointed either, because these few months aren’t even enough to walk through the places that testers find most exciting. As a bonus, we recommend our article about Iván Kotsis' modern holiday homes on Lake Balaton, and the smart and sensitive views of a worried gardener on the beach, the novel life story of Rozsika Parker (nomen est omen).
