Covidictionary 2.0

ERNA URICSKA is an ESP teacher. She is also a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Sociology and Communication Science at Corvinus University of Budapest. Her research interests include digital organisational communication, netlinguistics and their educational potential in the 21st century. The coronavirus pandemic that hit Hungary in the spring of 2020 has stayed with us for nearly two years, aff ecting all aspects of life, including language use. This monolingual phrase book is the second part of COVIDICTIONARY. Words and phrases related to the global pandemic. The volume contains 750 words and phrases, probably the most common ones in use, up until the autumn of 2022. Once again, I am grateful to my doctoral supervisor, Ágnes Veszelszki. Her Karanténszótár ('Quarantine Dictionary') and Karanténszótár 2. ('Quarantine Dictionary 2'), written in Hungarian, are the fi rst examples of this new genre.
