Description
This is the eighth edition of Delphi. Which, apart from a few minor fixes, is identical to the text of the seventh edition, which was released nine years ago. The first edition was published 26 years ago. Since then, six more editions and several reprints have been in the hands of readers. (Really in their hands because they were only temporarily on the shelves of bookstores.) Maybe not by accident! An army of trainers, organizational developers, coaches, and educators and psychologists, psychotherapists, physicians, social workers, and college and college students in business, government, and college have learned from this book over the past two and a half decades. Thousands, if not tens of thousands, of those interested in group leadership and group dynamics joined them. During this time, new age groups grew up, many of whom participated in self-awareness and personality development groups, skills development and organizational development trainings. Not a few people learned to lead groups, trainings, and practice group therapy. For which they received serious help from the heirs of Delphi, which is not a scientific monograph or research report, but a summary manual on the subject. Meanwhile, the author wrote about Javne's heirs. Development Training Groups Principles, Methods, Practice Packages, which is the twin book of the heirs of Delphi (1st edition: 2009, 2nd edition: 2011). In the two books, the reader will find a total of 164 (72 + 92) structured exercises. In both cases, we refer to exercises that can be used for similar purposes in the other in order to treat the exercises in a uniform and easier way. János Rudas is a psychologist and trainer, an outstanding representative of the Hungarian self-knowledge, personality and skill development, and the leadership of training groups. The book is still a gap-filling work, an extremely practical handbook. Building on more than three decades of team leader, coaching, and consulting experience, the author provides comprehensive information to current or future team leaders, trainers, and anyone who lives and works in a group.
