Dermedt, defiant Dexter

Dexter Morgan is used to the sight of horrors, all the more so because he likes to commit them himself. To the outside world, he lives his exemplary life according to one rule: only the very bad people are allowed to be killed. Dexter is busy working for the Miami Police Department as a blood trace analyst, helping his fiancée raise their two wonderful (and somewhat unique) children, and planning his little trips under the light of the full moon. Then everything changes. Called to the scene of a grisly double murder, Dexter's Dark Passenger senses something chilling and runs away, leaving everything behind. Without his Inner Voice, Dexter is forced to deal with the situation alone - not to mention his demanding sister Deborah, his slightly over-the-top fiancée Rita and the scariest wedding planner ever. More disturbingly, however, Dexter slowly realizes that something very dark and very powerful has his eyes on him. He needs every scrap of knowledge he has to find his enemy and to find and understand the Dark Passenger. To find him, he must ask the question he never dared: who is the Dark Passenger and where does he come from?
