Description
The main character of the work, which was a huge success at the Sundance Film Festival, is an educated slave and priest who lived in the 1800s, Nat Turner (played by Nate Parker, the film's writer-director). The man's owner, who is struggling with financial problems, Samuel Turner (Armie Hammer - The man from UNCLE, Night Predators) accepts the offer of the nearby planters: he lends Nate in exchange for some salary, who calms down his fellow slaves with his sermons and encourages them to obey. After a while, however, Nat can no longer bear the physical and mental abuse inflicted on him and the others, so he organizes an uprising... The fast-paced and spectacular film, based on real events, offers a disturbing, yet uplifting experience. Not recommended for people under 16 - NFT/24094/2017
