Development or revolution?

The reader is holding in his hand the latest economics volume published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Hungarian, which is about the policy changes in post-crisis economic policy and the complete renewal of thinking about macroeconomics. Summers, American economist, Treasury Secretary of the Obama Administration, Harvard University In their book, the president and professor emeritus provide clues for thinking through policy dilemmas aimed at financial stability. The authors do not postpone the discussion of the most critical economic policy issues as a reckoning with the period that has passed since the crisis. Aiming at financial stability, they take a position, for example, on the complex role of the financial sector, on the complementary and desirable mechanisms of monetary and financial policies, and on the possibilities of institutional and system-level contributions of financial regulations. Among the decision-makers publishing in the volume and the leading researchers of the international dialogue of economics, we can read the opinions and scientific reasoning of such renowned thinkers as, for example, the winner of the Lámfalussy Prize of the Hungarian Central Bank, member of the board of the European Central Bank, Benoît Coeuré; the president of the European Central Bank, Mario Draghi, or Barry Eichengreen, professor at the University of California.
