The newest member of the Mother Tongue Competence Development Workbooks helps to complete the task of the mid-level Hungarian language and literature matriculation examination, which requires practical text creation, as successfully as possible. In this task, graduates may encounter the following practical text genres: a letter of motivation, an official letter on various topics (e.g., a letter of complaint), a request, and a comment, speech, initiator, recommendation, or praise. The workbook provides practical help in mastering the formal, content, and linguistic requirements of all possible genres, as well as creating American-style and traditional resumes. The majority of the exercises lead students to become aware and remember the requirements of the genre in an indirect and experiential way, for example by analyzing given samples, completing and correcting incomplete or incorrect text, arranging mixed lines, but also including a large number of direct examinations. the workbook. At the end of the workbook you will find solutions to all tasks whose output is clear and objective. Andrea Parapatics is a researcher and lecturer at the University of Pannonia. He obtained his doctorate at Eötvös Loránd University. He is a founding editorial member of the journal Mother Tongue Pedagogy. In addition to his scientific work, he also gained ten years of experience in public education and graduation. His research focuses on the regionalism of Hungarian language and related attitudes, as well as on the teaching methodology of the topic.
