The literary history works of János Horváth I.

In the series entitled The Collected Works of János Horváth, the works in literary history are arranged according to the thematic chronological order. The first of these begins with a study published in 1908 entitled The Main Moments of the Development of Our Literature; this is followed by a synthesis from the 1920s, The Developmental History of Hungarian Literature, which reviews the periods from the beginning to the death of János Arany; then two monographs of the period: The Beginnings of Hungarian Literary Literature (1931), which describes monastic literature, and The Distribution of Literary Literature (1935), which characterizes Hungarian humanism. The volume is closed by the study entitled The Battle of Szabács / 1956 /.
