Hungarian spelling dictionary

The dictionary was compiled on the basis of the latest, 12th edition of the Academic Spelling Regulations, which came into force on 1 May 2017, with the participation of the members of the Language Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. According to the joint resolution of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Human Resources and the Office of Education, the examination organizing institutions must already provide this dictionary in the matriculation examinations of the 2O16 / 2O17 academic year. The Hungarian spelling dictionary draws a lot from the Hungarian common language, gives the exact, normative spelling of words, abbreviations, separations, if necessary, the meaning of the word, the scope of use, the suffixes. It reviews all the cases that can cause a headache for the Hungarian spelling, so it can also be used as a spelling consultant: based on the specific examples presented, other similar cases can be solved.
