Description
This short study is far from covering all aspects of Transylvanian art history. Not only because László Kőváry's statement that Transylvania is a rich, unknown museum is still true today. The complete art topography of Transylvania is still an unfulfilled dream. Relatively, the Saxons made the most exhaustive inventory of the memories of them. The Romanian art historians themselves have repeatedly stated that they are at the beginning of their duties, and that the entire era of Hungarian art, especially the most recent, is unwritten. Everything makes it clear that it is not yet a summary. The purpose of the present paper is only to mosaically point out some of the basic points that an objective scientific position makes essential.
