Description
The poems of the fifteen poets of the Different Kinds, which have similar tonal and content features, outline a unified poetic world in one mood. It is a grim world of poetry, saturated with the turmoil of the fragility of our being. These poems are built around the pain of nourishing the loss, the female experiences, mood swings, path-finding, and possible responses, drawing in their succession a portrait and a story that, by their nature, could belong to any of us. Out of the fifteen poets, only a few of our contemporaries (Eszter Dobozi, Katalin Mezey, Zsuzsa Rakovszky, Barbara Rózsássy, Zsuzsa Takács and Krisztina Tóth), two (Piroska Reichard and Sophie Török) were born in the late 19th century, others in the first decade of the last century. Reading their poems and oeuvres, we must see how different these creators are, both in their sound, in their worldview and in their craft tricks. Yet, listening to the material of this audiobook, you can experience how you find a poem for a poem, and how one poet's thought and tone are enriched by another. It is a cryptic but scatable dialogue that is only possible among those who have learned to “live poetically”. That is why it is worth letting the web of our understanding deep into their poems. Nowadays, when the ideal of a sensitive person who has been educated in his emotions and can express them expressively has faded, listening to these poems can become a rare experience. The poems are performed by Anna Kubik, actor, and by Anita Miskolczi, cellist.
