My neighbor is death

In Barcelona in the seventies, an armed robbery attack culminates in a tragedy: the assailants shoot an innocent little boy on the run. Years pass when one of the former attackers is killed. His partner treats it as a fact that the father, who cannot bear the death of his little son, is the perpetrator, who presumably wants revenge on him as well. So the killer hideout begins between the alleged perpetrator and the former criminal. And Superintendent Ricardo Méndez, who is about to retire, must use all his cunning to prevent another tragedy. The novel won the prestigious Premio Internacional de Novela Negra RBA International Literature Prize for crime novels. Spanish writer, born in 1927 in Barcelona. He holds a law degree from the University of Barcelona. He is primarily considered a crime author, and in his criminal novels he places great emphasis on the authentic depiction of social background.
