Description
Report sociography uses the methods of investigative journalism and literary sociography to process the most serious and murderous ethnic conflicts of the first decade of the 2000s. It presents and analyzes hate crimes that have shocked Hungarian society for years, such as the massacre of a teacher in Lajos Szögi: the murder of teacher Lajos Szögi, the murder of Marian Cozma, a Romanian handball player in Veszprém, racist-motivated massacre demanding his death. Report sociography tracks events from the police investigation to the final court rulings in chronological order, voicing the perpetrators, the relatives of the victims, the residents of the affected municipalities, and the professionals (police, lawyers, criminologists, psychologists, etc.). He tries to draw the socio-political background of the acts, to disclose facts that have not been published in the media so far, have not been revealed by the investigating authority, or are presumably intentionally concealed. In addition to the most dusty cases, it also presents some cases in which the people attacked did not die due to a lucky accident (eg the Molotov cocktail attack in Pátka or the knife attack on Roma families in Abádszalók)…
