Hunting log

"I don't remember a time when I didn't hunt. I probably absorbed the passion for hunting through my mother's milk, and these genes could also be inherited from my mother's side, since my maternal grandfather and his grandfather also carried the odium of this passion. The purpose of turning my hunting diary into a book is to give an insight into the hunting conditions of the seventies and nineties, into the center of my world, around Ivánbattyán. I hope that my unconditional love for all of nature and my immense passion for wild animals and hunting can be seen in my writings, but it also reflects my profession, the craft of cooking. Although the book also contains a good number of wild animals, perhaps they will not be condemned for it. As my excuse, I always visited the forest with open eyes and heart, as a hunter and not as a tourist, and I still do today, but I feel that as long as the heart is beating, the hunter can only look, see, and see his surroundings with the eyes of a hunter. I always experienced individual hunts as a special experience. This is the beauty of hunting. If we could get everything from him rationally, in the planned way, it would lose its charm, which is woven together by countless coincidences into an unforgettable experience, because now I know that we will have to make use of it later, and leaving our souls, which still resides in us, is not feed judge hunter! Today, I mostly hunt among my trophies that are looking at me from the living room wall, but I feel young again, recalling the events of winning a trophy."
