The youth of Virgil

The third novel by Géza Hegedüs is published in the publisher's series for young people. The excellent writer once again guides us into the past, into the world of ancient Rome, where the poet introduces the readers to Virgil and his famous contemporaries, artists, politicians, bringing the characters of the age closer to the man of today. Although the novel does not follow historical fidelity, it provides important information about the power struggles following the death of Julius Caesar and the severe war that erupted on Italian soil at the time. The book is illustrated by András Győrfi's drawings.
