Description
István Kovács (1945) is a poet, historian and diplomat. As a poet, he appeared in the 1969 anthology The Inaccessible Land as a member of the Nine. His research area dates back to the 19th century. Hungarian-Polish relations in the first half of the 19th century, with special regard to the Polish participants in the war of independence. He has published several books on this subject. In this volume, which we now publish a newer, improved version, it brings to life unknown Polish heroes from the time of the War of Independence. Private, non-commissioned officers, chief officers are in front of us, and we are already marching with them on the well-known scenes of our history, and we are following them across the border as Hungarian migrants from all over the world.
