Islamic state

In 2014, the international public watched in shock as the "Islamic State of Iraq and Levente" terrorized the Middle East, which sank into chaos in 2011, and then proclaimed an "Islamic State" based on an extreme interpretation of Sharia law. The question rightly arises as to how terrorists who have become notorious for their brutality have been able to gain so much power and authority. This work traces the rise of the terrorist organization from 1999 to the present day.
