Four hundred Hungarian letters from the 16th century. 1504-1560.

Most of the letters between 1504 and 1560 contain letters written by and to Officer Ákos Csányi in Kanizsa, but there are many famous recipients, such as Péter Balassa, Ferenc Batthyány, Ferenc Bebek, István Dobó, György Homonnay, Queen Izabella, Ferenc Kendy, Nádasdy , Péter Pázmány, Ferenc Sennyey, Ferenc Thurzó or Miklós Zrínyi. From the Danube and the captains of almost every border fortress around Lake Balaton, we can find among the letter writers and recipients, from Kanizsa, Szigliget to Babócsa, the officers of the Zala, Veszprém and Somogy end houses.
