Description
Márton Takáts's personality traits are basically determined by the fact that he comes from a family of artists, his parents are craftsmen, his great-grandfather is a sculptor, his grandparents are painters, his grandfather László Bartha, , its lightness, technical prowess, literary interest, and its work as an illustrator still have an impact on the artist. The children's room and the strong individuality may be the reason why Márton Takáts has been operating as a perfectly sovereign personality from the very beginning - here it should be that in the contemporary Hungarian art scene, but in fact a little outside. Because from the very beginning he dared to exclude himself from the Hungarian fine arts life, he did not want to be trendy, he did not follow intellectual fashions, he did not want to exhibit at all costs, he applied for a scholarship, and his individual lifestyle included he sold it at a fine art fair as he teaches drawing or plays Keith Jarrett the piano for his own pleasure. As a first step, he did not seek, walk around or question, but created his identity and self-identity. In Hungarian, he built an independent intellectual-virtual world - first in graphics, especially in the medium of etching, because in 1995 he graduated from the Department of Graphic Arts at the Hungarian College of Fine Arts. It could be inferred from the family's expectations that he also strived for perfect technical and professional knowledge, and indeed, in parallel with the construction of his sovereign universe, he gained 16 years of hard work with classical perfection and reproducing graphic knowledge that is rare in the international market. For technical perfection and self-determination, he chose Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1778), the most important copper engraver of the 18th century, as a coach, who had already seen it through the eyes of modern man, but still had the technical knowledge of classical art and “high art”. , instead of aristocratic painting, it was already operating in the genre of modern, popular reproduced graphics.
