Twelve smoky people

One of the first concrete dreams of most boys is to be a railroad driver, namely a train driver. Then for a few, this dream becomes a reality. It should be added at the outset that there are few drivers who do not think back with positive feelings about the time spent on the locomotive - the steam locomotive. In this volume, twelve experienced drivers recall many decades of torturous work on the machine. Careers, professions, jargon, heaters, cadets, trainees, drivers - people - can be learned through recollections. The memoirs and special photographs recall the railway of our childhood, which still lived there in the consciousness of everyone, smoked, whistled, throbbed behind the houses, so it was the real railway.
