Green Zone - Princely Life in the Emerald City

It was a widely acclaimed American bestseller that also inspired the filmmaker of the film Green Zone. Green Zone, Baghdad, 2003: Living in a walled zone equipped with swimming pools and other luxuries, Paul Bremer and the Coalition Transitional Authority under his control try to build a new, democratic Iraq. The Authority, whose members are idealists who have been selected for work on the basis of their views on abortion or the death penalty, is trying to achieve goals in the crucial first post-war years that have little to do with the real needs of a war-torn country.
