The final volume of the Tudor trilogy is held in the hands of the reader. London, 1558. After Mary's death, Elizabeth ascends the throne. The still-young queen tries to rule the country with a hard hand, purposefully, but she barely settles in her court, they are already assassinated. Once again, Brendon Prescott, who returns home from his many years in exile to serve Elizabeth again, is being investigated by the delicate matter. His investigation is constantly being made impossible by opponents unknown and believed to be dead, who seek his life countless times. During an investigation, Brendon realizes that Elizabeth is hiding serious secrets. But what is the queen trying to hide from even the most trusted spy?
