(Farewell) gallop

The third piece of a lyrical autobiographical trilogy after the (back) gallop published in 2007 and the (back) gallop published in 2009. The three volumes are connected not only by similar bracketed titles, or by the fact that each consists of twenty-one numbered verses, or rather chapters, written in long, wall-to-wall lines, or by the fact that these rhyming long lines are overgrown with internal rhymes. they break up acoustically, creating an interesting tension with constant fluctuations between the great-breathing free verse and the macama. The semicolons in the addresses indicate different modulation of the same attitude (“gallop”). The “gallop” is a re-exploration of the landscapes of lived life, which is made hasty by the urgency of wasting time. The amendments in parentheses, on the other hand, indicate that this retelling can never be final, there is always another version of the narration of things, and a different version is still possible after that.
