The first volume after the change of regime of the Chalkboard Reaching the Sky (1993), in which the relationship between a grandchild born in a mixed marriage who no longer speaks Hungarian and his grandfather is presented, while presenting the life of a village in Gemer. "In addition to the fact that the protagonist of the story, the old man, is trying to sweeten the family of the broken family in the Czech Republic, he also holds a mirror in front of Hungarians who stay at home but leave in the soul, strengthening assimilation. [... it is no coincidence that the quote is: It has never been more interesting and important to me than the fate of my people. " (Károly Kövesdi)
