Play with earthlings

In this volume, the unusual, sometimes shocking, sometimes fatal, sometimes touching love stories and by no means everyday life paths of seventeen well-known, yet unknown muses with a strange fate are presented. The album selects from the very first muse of modern Hungarian literature, Lilla (ie Julianna Vajda), through little-known stories (Mária Vachottné Csapó, Rozália Schodelné Klein) to iconic female characters of the 20th century (Bajor Gizi, Katalin Karády, Éva Ruttkai, Edit Domján). We can also read portraits of ladies (Júlia Szendrey, Róza Laborfalvy) who are currently the subject of lively debates in the history of literature and culture, and perhaps it will also become clear why their personalities still divide public opinion.
