Gergely Légrádi's greatest virtue is accuracy, sharpness, and conciseness. He is characterized by an observant eye, alert gaze - and perhaps most importantly - the ability to see. All of this is no different in the collection of short stories entitled Napfénytető: the short prose records small, perhaps insignificant, but nevertheless decisive life situations, moments and processes. Love conflict, near death, tension about to explode. In the short stories of barely a few pages, the story of an entire life, of a family - sometimes of several generations - is condensed, from the beginning to the end, from the cradle to the coffin. And in all of them, unspoken confessions and hidden secrets lurk. It's like a movie is playing before our eyes. Where the reader is both a spectator and a protagonist. Because Gergely Légrádi is not gentle. It involves and pulls the reader into the story, which always cuts to the heart of the person, even if it is often tinged with subtle humor. The reader is the writer's accomplice: he must unravel the secret himself. It is exciting to untangle these short stories with a special atmosphere and dramatic tension, because they disturb us in such a way that we hardly even notice. Only after the story "ends" do we realize that it is about common sins, desires, lies, failures - i.e. about us.
